Obama's help with housing is bogus!!
I am really getting fed up with all the calls coming in from companies that say that the government has all of this money to help you save your home. Well I have tried numerous times to modify my loan or just get a reduced payment and each time I have tried, I have been denied. Denied because I do not make enough money. Now I have not been late on any of my payments for the last 10 years and my credit score is fine but I just cannot get a new loan. Thankfully my interest rate is 5.0 but that will be going up next year and then the payment will go up again.
I used to be a mortgage broker and I know most of the in's and out's of the mortgage business but this is ridiculous. The percentages of debt to income is stricter than on FHA loans. That's right, only 30% is allowed. I have no debt except for the house loan. So wouldn't you think that if I decided to spend 40% on a house payment so that I can keep my home and a place to live that that would be my own personal business. Well the government thinks differently and I don't know how to change the government.
We have far too much government control and it needs to stop. I am really disappointed in the Obama system and I hope that all who read this will take note on what his agenda has become. It is not good for the United States. Now I am sure some of you will agree and some will disagree but so far we are still a country with free speech.
I am praying that I will be able to keep my home until the market turns around. That will probably be several years but I will hang in there until I am kicked out.
